Lauren's school has a dodgeball tournament each year. This year the teams had to have both girls and boys. Lauren was on the Nike Nuts team. They didn't do too well but they had a fun time.
Valentine's Day was a mixed day. Lauren was sick but still wanted to go to school. I let her go but by the end of the day she had a fever and spent the rest of the day in bed.
This year we went to Rick Silkey's for New Year's Eve celebration. Lauren hung out with the few kids that were there. She even did a bit of gambling. Grant was the big winner in that game. It was a fun night. Lauren was happy to make it to midnight once again. Happy 2014
I love when the house is decorated for the holidays. We don't have a large house so just a few decorations really makes it look like Christmas. This year I decorated the kitchen shelves and I think they turned out so cute. My favorite is the wreath with Lauren's yearly Christmas picture in a small frame. I love to see how much she has grown.
Lauren and I hosted the evening dinner. There ended up being 15 people that came over to our small house. It was a bit crowed but we had a great prime rib dinner and then more gifts. What a wonderful Christmas. It was made better with friends and family.
we started the day opening the stocking that Santa left. Lauren liked all the items but the small bowling set was her favorite. We then went over to Brian and Diane's home for breakfast and to open Santa gifts. We spent a few hours there before heading home to get ready for the evening dinner and fun.
