Sunday all of us (Brian, Diane, Sammie and Jacob, Janine, Don, Elaine, Blaire and Grant, Cindy, Ron, Dan and Steve, and Lauren and I) went to the Cubs vs. Giants Spring training game. It was a wonderful day. A little overcast which made sitting in the grass just great. Everyone had a great time. Steve came to the game with his teammates.

About a month ago we found out that Steve's baseball team was coming to town. We thought it would be fun to invite his team over for a cookout and swim. Since they were going to the Spring Training game the timing worked out great. Most of them came to the cookout and it seemed like they had a great time. The coaches kept telling us how nice this was for the team. They also told us how they really enjoyed Arizona's weather because the forecast is for the 30's when they get back to Michigan. It was so fun to see Steve with his team and I am glad we were able to do this for him and his team. It was a wonderful day.

Ms. Kim sent Lauren the Cubs shirt to wear for the game. Her cousins live in California and were rooting for the Giants. Lauren asked me if it was ok to root for both of the teams. I told her that would be just fine.

Saturday we spent the morning at the pool with Brian, Diane and Sammie and Jacob. After checking out of the resort we said good bye to Brian and Diane and met Cindy, Ron and Dan and we went to hike Sabino Canyon. Steve was able to join us which made it even more fun. Lauren did a great job on the hike. We went 4 miles and she did great. Lauren loved hanging out with her big cousins. They were so nice to her. I love the picture of Lauren and Steve and Dan.

After the hike we rested at Ron's parent's hotel until Steve's baseball game. Janine, Don, Elaine, Blaire and Grant came down to watch the game. It was a great game and so much fun to have a lot of the cousins together for the evening. We were going to leave early but Lauren begged to stay with her cousins. It was a great day.

Tucson Friday Fun

This weekend my nephew's baseball team came to Tucson to play. Steve plays for Calvin College in MI. They came out to play in the warmer weather. We were so excited to see him. My sister, Cindy and her husband, Ron and my nephew, Dan came into town to watch the games. Ron's parents were able to come also.

Brian, Diane, Sammie and Jacob and Lauren and I went to Tucson on Friday morning. We stayed at a great resort. Lauren and Sammie enjoyed the pool for a few hours when we got there. After some pool time we went to watch one of Steve's games. It was so fun to watch Steve's team and they played great.

All of us went out to dinner. Steve was able to join us so that made it even more fun. After dinner Lauren and Sammie and I went back to the resort and ordered room service dessert. It was such a fun day. It was so fun to see my sister and her family. My nephew, Jon, was not able to come to Arizona and we really missed him.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Lauren wore a lot of green today. We didn't make anything with green food coloring but we did make brownies and put some green sprinkles on them. It was a pretty low key St. Patrick's Day.

Spring Break

Lauren picked out her own outfit. I think she did a great job. But she is looking a bit grown up.

This week Lauren had Spring break. We didn't go anywhere but Lauren still got to do some fun things. We did go to the zoo with Sammie. Lauren spent the night at a friends house and went to the WIld Animal Park with her and she hung out at her cousin's house. We also went to see the movie Never Say Never.

Tomorrow we are going to Tucson to spend the night at a resort. We also get to see Aunt Cindy and Uncle Ron and Dan and Steve. Steve is coming in town to play baseball. I can't wait to see everyone. It should be a fun weekend.
