Art Walk

This past week was the annual art walk at Cherokee.  I can't believe this is the last one that I will attend.  It is exciting to be in the 5th grade.  One of the lasting projects they do is a tile that goes up on the school wall.  It will be there long after Lauren leaves.  Lauren did a great job on hers.  I also got to see a bunch of her other projects.  This event is always bitter sweet for me.  It means the year is coming to the end.  This year it is even more so because it is the last for Lauren.  I can't believe 5th grade is almost over.  I got very few pictures because I was ditched for friends within a few minutes.

State Float

One of the projects in 5th grade is to research and write a report about one of the states.  Lauren was given North Carolina.  She did a great job on the report.  They also had to make a "state float".  Lauren worked with Aunt Janine to create her project.  It turned so good.  Great job Lauren.

Egg Hunt

It would not be Easter without the egg hunt.  We only had 4 kids doing it this year.  But they had fun.

First Swim of the Year

Easter Sunday the kids decided it was warm enough to go swimming.  It is still way to cold for me but the kids enjoyed an afternoon of swimming.

Easter Basket and Easter morning

No matter how old Lauren gets she is still always so excited to see what is in her Easter basket.  She loves to look inside and is always surprised what she gets.  We always finish the morning with a little egg hunt.  She might be getting a bit old for this.
