First Soccer Game

#4 on the Red Wolves team!!

Making sure no one has any jewelry, all have the uniform on, and all have the correct soccer shoes.
On the field ready to play. (In 105 degree weather!!)

Running to get to the ball.

Lauren

Today was Lauren's first soccer game of the season. Lauren will have a game each Saturday until a few weeks before Christmas. Lauren really seemed to enjoy playing. Her whole team tried really hard and won their first game 6-4. It was hot and sunny and they really played hard. After the game we had a bunch of tired, sweaty, hot but really happy girls. It was so much fun to watch them play. Go Red Wolves!!!

All I want for Halloween is my two front teeth

All I want for Halloween is my two front teeth, my two front teeth, my two front teeth.
All I want for Halloween is my two front teeth so I can bite a candy apple!!
Friday night while we were relaxing, Lauren said her last front tooth was bleeding. I told her to wiggle it a bit. About an hour later it was out.
I thing she looks so cute with no front teeth. I am also so happy that last ground down tooth is gone. Once the adult teeth come in we start the first step in fixing her under bite and hopefully the grinding.

Growing Up So Fast

Sometimes when Lauren gets dressed I am so amazed at how grown up she looks. Today was one of those days. We got ready for church and Lauren picked out this dress. She put it on and I just could not believe how grown up she looked. She was the one that suggested that I take a few pictures. It was so hot here today that we only took a few pictures before we decided to go back inside.
I can't believe that fall starts this week. It was 111 degrees today. I am so sick of the hot hot weather. I am so ready for fall weather!! This is the time of the year that I really miss living in Chicago. Lauren even commented today that she wished we lived in Chicago and had cooler weather.

Front Tooth - Gone!

Lauren has had issues with her teeth for the past few years. First, she grinds she teeth. This is because she has a very bad under bite. She has ground her front teeth down to little stubs. Second, the adult teeth on the bottom teeth have come in behind the baby teeth. It happened with the bottom teeth in the front and now it is happening with the next two bottom teeth. If you look in the mouth you can see the adult teeth coming in with the baby teeth right in front. I thought for sure she would lose the bottom first in the next few weeks and well before the front teeth.
This afternoon when I got her from Sunday school, she told me her top front tooth was loose. I felt it and it was pretty loose. She played with it all afternoon. Then around dinnertime she calls to me that she pulled it out. Boy did that surprise me. Lauren was so excited. She is excited for the tooth fairy to come and she is excited to get her name on the lost tooth chart in her classroom. What a big day for her.
I just can't wait until the other small front tooth comes out. The little front teeth have bugged me for the past year. It looks so much cuter with no teeth then those little ground down teeth.

Pie in the Face

End results

This tastes pretty good.
Lauren saw a TV show that showed someone putting a pie in their face. She thought that was so funny. She wanted to do it so bad. She kept asking me if we could make a pie so she could put it in her face.
So, I bought some whipped topping and put it in a pie pan and let her put it in her face. She thought it was the greatest thing ever. I thought it was so funny that she wanted to do this so bad. She seemed to have fun doing it.

This Labor Day we decided the join some family and friends at a local resort. It is a great resort with a wonderful water park area. The water park has it all, a regular pool, a wave pool, a lazy river and slides.
We went there on Saturday afternoon and checked into the resort and then headed for the water park. We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the water park area. Later that evening we all went out for a wonderful crab dinner.
The next day we went back to the water park area and spent the day there until the heat was just too much. It was a full way to spend Labor Day weekend. The only bad part was that it was very very hot this weekend. The kids didn't seem to mind the heat and were in the pool the whole time.
This year all the kids brought friends with them. It was nice for all of them to have someone their age to hangout with and enjoy the park and resort.
