Cheer Outfit American Girl

I found an online site that will make a matching cheer outfit for Lauren's American Girl doll. I ordered it in February and it came in perfect time to bring with us to Anaheim. I think it turned out so cute!!

After the first night of the competition Lauren and a few of her friends went to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. The girls had a great time and the parents had a nice evening out. It was a perfect way to end the first day of the competition.

Congrats Blaire - National Champions!!

During the middle of the season the coaches asked Blaire to double team on another team. This team struggled at the beginning of the season but they peaked at the right time and they won the National Championships in their division. It was wonderful to watch them go up and accept the big award and jackets and medals. They did a great job!

Nationals - Cheer

This weekend we attended the American Showcase National Championships in Anaheim, CA. It was a fun weekend. Lauren's team did great. They finished in 4th out of about 30 teams. It was so fun to watch them. This is the last year Lauren will compete as a mini. Next year she moves up to the Youth division.

Blaire also competed. She competed on two teams. One of her teams did great (see below) and the other team also did well. However, they had very tough competition. It was a great cheer weekend.

Egg Hunt 2012

Part of our Easter celebration is the annual family egg hunt. Lauren was assigned the green eggs. She had a great time but one of her eggs remain hidden. She told me she is going to look again tomorrow.

Happy Easter!!

Easter 2012

We went over to Don and Janine's home to celebrate Easter. We started the day going to church as a family. It was a wonderful service. We then went back to the Helton's for a wonderful lunch and of course some family pictures.

We saw these really cute devil's eggs on line. We had to try them out. I think they turned out great. Great job Elaine, Sammie and Lauren.
