Day 1 - Disneyland Surprise Trip

On our first day at Disney we went on the usual rides, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Its a Small World and etc. However, we also tried some new areas including Tom Sawyer's Island and the playground area at California Adventure.

We also got to see the new night show World of Color. That was an amazing show. I am not sure how they do it but WOW!!

It was a fun first day on Lauren's surprise vacation trip.

Surprise Trip to Disneyland

Lauren's last day of school was a half day and I told Lauren I would take off work early and we could do anything she wanted. She talked about how she was not sure if she wanted to go to a movie or somewhere else. However, she did not know that I already planned to pick her up and drive to Disneyland for a surprise vacation. When I told her we were going she didn't believe it and I had to show her the luggage and the tickets. Then she got a little upset that everyone knew about the surprise but her. It was a strange reaction.

The drive over was pretty easy and we got there in the early evening. We checked in to our hotel room and walked over to Downtown Disney for a few hours. We were both excited for our next day at Disney.

Last Day of School

May 24, was Lauren's last day of 2nd grade. I can't believe school is over for the year and summer is here. Lauren did great is 2nd grade. She is really excited for 3rd grade but she is more excited for the fun summer ahead of her.

Today the 2nd grade put on the Bugz musical program. It was a very cute program and so fun to watch. They did a great job!

This afternoon Lauren had her end of the season softball party. The team had a great time swimming and just playing with each other. The coach handed out trophies of each of the girls. Lauren was happy to add it to her other trophies at home. It was a great season and Lauren is already looking forward to next year.

Happy Mother's Day

I am so glad that God blessed me with my wonderful daughter, Lauren. When I look at her I am amazed that she is my daughter.

Lauren gave me a bunch on fun items for Mother's Day. One of my favorites was a wonderful key chain that will go with me all the time. It was a great day.

Lauren and Sebastian have been classmates since they were 2 years old. It was fun that they were both the zoo keepers.

Today Lauren's class put on the musical Life Cycles. It was so cute and they all did so good. Lauren was a zoo keeper. She did her lines perfect. I was such a proud mom. What a great Mother's Day present.
