Christmas Eve Church

We started our Christmas Eve by going to the Christmas Eve service at church.  It is the perfect way to start the evening and to remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.  We stopped at the desert park to get a few pictures in Lauren's pretty dress.  This was the dress Lauren picked out for the season.  I think she made a great choice.

Zoolights

Sunday night Lauren and I and one of her cheer friends went to Zoolights.  It was chilly but not too bad.  However, it was super crowded.  The girls had a good time.  I have to remember to go earlier next year.

Cookie Decorating

Saturday evening we went over to Brian and Diane's to decorate cookies.  It was only the three of them but they had a great time.  I didn't get a picture but Jacob was walking all over the place.  I don't think I saw him crawl once the whole night.  He is an amazing kid.

Holiday Time

We went to see a play last week and before going in we took advantage of the cool building and water feature.  Lauren was in the mood to take pictures.  The play was fun but Lauren told me she is getting too old for these types of plays.  

Breakfast with Santa

This morning we went to Breakfast with Santa at a local resort.  It was very nice and the food was great.  This was the first time at this event and Lauren had fun but she told me liked the other one better.  So I guess next year we are back to the one we did last year.

Cookie Contest - Grand Prize Winners

Tonight was our family's annual Cookie Bake Off.  It is always a great time.  Lauren and I (with Jacob's help) made a chocolate chip salted carmel bar.  It was messy and really good.  We ended up as the grand prize winner.  We won best tasting also.  Lauren was so excited and kept singing "we won you lost".  Not the best winner but it was a sweet night.
