Fall Break - Flagstaff
We spent the first part of the day at Bearizona. It was neat to see so many animals up close. We then had to head home so Lauren could go to cheer.
Fall Break - Grand Canyon
The second day of fall break was spent at the Grand Canyon. We were a bit lucky, since the government is shut down I was a bit afraid we would not be able to go to the Canyon but they opened the park on Saturday for one week. We got to hike down a bit and then we took a long walk along the rim. What a view. It was a wonderful to be in God's masterpiece.
Fall Break - Day 1 Flagstaff
On Sunday morning we drove up to Flagstaff. We spent our first day at Snowbowl Ski Resort. The ski lift is open for a ride to the top. They had already gotten a little snow so it was cold when we made it to the top. We spent a little time at the top looking around and hiking a little. Our ride down was COLD but perfect for hot cocoa when we reached the bottom. We spent a little more time there before making it to our hotel for the evening.
Pumpkin Patch
Saturday night Lauren and I went to the pumpkin patch. We invited Sammy to come along. It was fun to see the two cousins together. We had a great time at the petting farm, bounce pillow, corn maze, roasting mashmellows, hay ride and of course the pumpkin patch. It was a fun evening.
Cooking Dinner
Lauren decide she wanted to cook dinner tonight. She made the whole dinner for start to finish. She did a great job. SHe is growing up so much.
Blaire's Homecoming
Blaire is on her varsity cheer team again this year. Her team has improved so much and they are fun to watch. Lauren and I went to cheer them on for the homecoming game. It was a bittersweet night for me. Blaire did great and her team won easily. However, it was a against my high school so it was a little sad for me. Blaire is a beautiful cheerleader and she is a joy to watch.
