Pumpkin Patch Fun

Lauren and I joined Brian, Daine, Sammie and Jacob for some pumpkin patch fun.  It was a fun evening that included a hayride, petting zoo, corn maze, face painting, playing in the hay, pumpkin patch fun and so much more.  I think we are ready for all the fun that fall brings with it.

Bedroom Update

Lauren has had the same comforter and bedroom decorating since she was 3 years old.  I was not ready to paint but I wanted to make it a bit more grown up.  We got rid of the toy box and the small desk.  She now has a more stylish room.  Lauren just loves it.

Blaire's Homecoming

Lauren and I went to watch Blaire cheer at her homecoming game.  We first invited Elaine out to dinner and she joined us to go and watch Blaire.  It was a pink out game (for breast cancer awareness.) It was pretty neat to see all the pink from the pom pons to the jerseys the football players wore.  Blaire did a great job and it was so fun to watch her.  It was also fun to catch up with Elaine.

Running for Vice President

In 4th grade the students are allowed to run for student government.  The 4th graders are only allowed to run for Vice President.  Lauren wanted to do it.  She had to get signatures to get on the ballot.  Then she had to made posters.  We had some great posters but read the directions wrong and to Lauren had to cut them down to size.  She did a great job.  Then she had to do a speech in front of the school.  I was so proud of her.  Although she didn't win she was a winner for trying and doing her best.

Justin Bieber Concert

Lauren went to her first concert, Justin Bieber.  She went with a couple of her friends and one their mother.  Lauren had a great time.  The concert was the first night of his Believe tour.  Justin was a bit sick at the concert and throw up a few times but still put on a great show.  Lauren loved it.

Labor Day Weekend and Family Birthday Party

Tonight we celebrated Labor Day and a bunch of birthdays and a graduation.  This summer was so busy that we didn't have time to celebrate Janine's 50th birthday, Diane's 40th birthday, Lauren's 9th birthday and Elaine's graduation.  So we decided to do it all at once.  It was a bit warm but some of the kids swam.  We then had a great dinner.  Of course we had cake and presents to end the day.  It was a fun day.

Blaire's Cheer Season

Blaire is once again cheering for her high school.  Lauren and I went and watched her the first game.  It was so fun to watch her cheer.  She is such a great cheerleader.
