VBX

Lauren attended VBX once again this year.  Lauren had a great time and even asked if she can go again next year.  I am so glad she likes going to VBX is reminds me of my summers.

A Fun Weekend

I decided that since we were only going on one vacation this year that we would try to make the weekends as fun as possible.  This weekend was a full fun weekend.

Friday night Lauren went to open gym at her cheer gym with Blaire and Eryn.  Lauren had a great time and enjoyed hanging out with her cheer friends.

Saturday started with a birthday party and then we went to see the new movie Mas .

Sunday was craft day.  We started the day at church and then came home to make crafts.  Lauren tye dyed a tee shirt, we started rock candy, and then Lauren made a knot blanket.  She also made a snow cones for dessert.  It was a great weekend.  We can't wait until next weekend.

Referral Day

Eight years today, I received notice that I had a wonderful daughter waiting for me in China.  I was so excited to see a picture of her.  Two days later I received a package with a few pictures.  She was soooo cute and I was in love.  I can't it has been 8 years since that wonderful day.  It still brings a smile to my face to remember that special day.

Dissecting a Sheep's Eye

Lauren asked me to come and watch her dissect a sheep's eye in class.  She was so excited about this experience and thought it was so fun.  Maybe becoming a doctor is in her future???

Slip and Slide Cousin Fun

Brian and Diane invited us over for the evening.  Lauren thought it would be fun to bring her Slip and Slide with us.  Lauren, Sammie and Jacob had a fun time playing in the backyard on a hot June night.

The evening was made more fun when the kids got to decorate cookies after a cookout dinner.  It was the best way to spend a Saturday evening.

Dying Hair

Lauren asked if she could dye some color in her hair this summer.  So we went and got bleach and color.  The plan was for pink and blue, however, the  pink did not turn out very well so we redyed it all blue.  It is cute and we might try the pink again in a few days.  Lauren just loves it.

Cousin Fun - Memorial Day

Lauren and I spent Memorial Day was hanging out with Sammie.  Sammie had spent the night and Lauren and Sammie spent the next day playing and swimming.  After a long swim it was time to relax with a movie and cookies.

After Brian and Diane picked Sammie up, Lauren wanted to do some science experiments.  We used one of her kits and made snow.  It was sooooo neat.
