Cheer Season Opener

Getting ready to go in. Lauren's coach is getting her hair ready. Lauren really likes this young lady and she is a great coach.

Today was Lauren's first cheer competition. Lauren is on a new team this year. I decided to do this for a few reason but mostly because this place is so much closer to our home. Lauren is sad that she is no longer at the same gym as her cousin but it makes it much easier for us.

Lauren is competing on the Mini Level 1 team. This team is 8 year old and younger. Lauren is one of the smallest on the team and so they have her as the flyer. She thinks that is great. She is lifted up a bunch of times during the routine. The team did great and they won 1st place in their division. It is a great way to start the season.

Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Lauren had a very busy Halloween. We started the day at a Halloween celebration at a local shopping area. Radio Disney was there with games, music, dancing and etc. The kids Trick or Treated at the local stores. It was a fun way to start the day.

We finished the day at Brian and Diane's house for night time fun. Lauren and Sammie went Trick or Treating in Sammie's neighborhood. It was such a nice night out and the girls seemed to have a great time. They ended the evening with a ton of candy. It was a fun filled Halloween.

Craving Pumpkins

Lauren and I invited all Lauren's cousin's over for a pumpkin craving party. Blaire was not able to make it but Elaine brought her good friend, Angela. We all had a good time getting ready for Halloween. All pumpkins turned out great and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Saturday night Lauren and I went to the pumpkin patch. We had plans to go a few weeks ago but because of illness we had to postpone until last night. We had a great time and Lauren enjoyed all the activities including roasting marshmallows, going through the corn maze, riding the pony, going on a hayride, and of course picking out a pumpkin. We had planned to go with friends but the flu kept them from joining us. Even though they could not join us it was a fun evening with just Lauren and I.

One morning last week, Lauren called for me to come and see her teeth. She told me that one of her bottom teeth had moved. I looked, and wow, her adult bottom tooth is coming in behind her baby tooth. The baby tooth is not loose at all. I need to call the dentist to see what he wants us to do. Lauren is sad that her tooth is not loose yet but she is happy she finally has an adult tooth coming in.

Fall Break - part two

Brian, Diane, Sammie and Jacob joined us in San Diego for a few days. We all went to Seaworld and Legoland. Both places were decorated for Halloween. The girls had a great time and got along really well. It is fun to watch these two cousins enjoy each other.

After the beginning Fall Break with the flu, I am glad we were able to end Fall Break 2009 with so much fun.

San Diego Zoo

Lauren started to feeling better and so we kept our plans and went to San Diego. The first day we went to the zoo. I love the San Diego Zoo it is so much fun to just walk around there and have fun.

We went to the beach a few nights. Lauren loved running around in the sand. It was so relaxing to see the sun set on the beach.
