Twisted Cheer Competition

Today was Lauren's 5th competition of the cheer season.  It was at Rawhide and had a western theme.  Lauren's team did great and came in first (out of 4).  They got a medal and the team got a huge banner for the gym.

After the competition Lauren and I enjoyed Rawhide including a great steak dinner.  It was a fun day.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day started with a basket full of goodies for Lauren.  Of course her favorite as a stuffed dog.  She had a great Valentine's party at school including getting a lot of candy and Valentine cards from her classmate.

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

Lauren spent this weekend putting her Valentine's box together.  We saw a picture on Pinterest and she wanted to make one like it.  We changed it a bit but thought it turned out great.  Lauren was so excited to take it to school.  She thinks she has the best one in the class.  (I think it is great she is so proud of it.)

Tonight she did her Valentine's cards for her class.  We ordered some special ones for her class and her cheer team.   She is so excited for tomorrow.

Meeting a TV Star

Lauren's school has a fun run sponsored by Disney.  The "fun run" was last Friday and each student wore a pedomitor and they walked, danced, ran, jumped and etc for 45 minutes.  They then recorded how many steps they took.  Lauren had almost 3,400 steps.  She did a great job.

To reward the kids they had a Disney party at school.  The Disney radio came and played music and had contests and etc.  However, the best thing for Lauren was to met Calum Worthy from Austin and Ally.  She was so excited to meet a TV Star.

Palm Springs Cheer Competition.

This weekend we went to Palm Springs for a cheer competition.  They were against 11 other teams.  They did great and they finished in the middle of the pack.  They did not fall and they looked wonderful.  There was a lot of great teams in this division.  They did beat all the teams from Arizona so we told them they were the Arizona champions.

On the first day Lauren and I walked down to the big Marilyn Monroe statute.  It was fun.  After the competition was over Lauren and I decided to go on the Palm Springs tram.  It was fun and the view was beautiful.  There was even a bit of snow on the ground.  It was a great way to end our Palm Springs trip.

First Band Concert

Lauren started to play the clarinet this year.  Tuesday night was her first concert.  We had to rush from cheer practice to school but we made it in time.  Lauren had fun and the band did a wonderful job.  It is amazing how much they have learn this year in school.  A concert would not be complete without the flowers to celebrate.  Great job Lauren.
